چکیده
Abstract BaNi 2 As is a non-magnetic analogue of BaFe , the parent compound prototype pnictide high-temperature superconductor, displaying superconductivity already at ambient pressure. Recent diffraction studies demonstrated existence two types periodic lattice distortions above and below triclinic phase transition, suggesting an unconventional charge-density-wave (CDW) order. The suppression CDW order upon doping results in sixfold increase superconducting transition temperature enhanced nematic fluctuations, competing with superconductivity. Here, we apply time-resolved optical spectroscopy to investigate collective dynamics . We demonstrate several amplitude modes. Their smooth evolution through structural implies commensurate evolves from unidirectional incommensurate CDW, may indeed trigger transition. Excitation density dependence reveals exceptional resilience against perturbation, implying origin underlying electronic instability.

Collective modes in unconventional density waves
– We have investigated the collective modes of unconventional charge and spin density waves (UCDW, USDW) in quasi-one dimensional systems in random phase approximation. The density correlator regains its normal state form due to the phase degree of freedom of the condensate. The possible effect of impurities is also discussed. From this, the currentcurrent correlation function is evaluated thro...

The dynamics of the transient electronic structure in the charge density wave (CDW) system RTe3 (R = rare-earth element) is studied using time- and angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (trARPES). Employing a three-pulse pump-probe scheme we investigate the effect of the amplitude mode oscillations on the electronic band structure and, in particular, on the CDW energy gap. We observe cohere...

This Diploma thesis is centered around the study of the structural dynamics in charge density wave (CDW) compounds. Owing to their quasi low dimensionality, CDWs present an ideal model system to investigate the delicate interplay between various degrees of freedom like spins, electrons, lattice, etc., common to macroscopic quantum phenomena such as high-temperature-superconductivity and colossa...

Gaining insights into the mechanisms of how order and broken symmetry emerges from many-particle interactions is a major challenge in solid state physics. Most experimental techniques—such as angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy (ARPES)—probe the single-particle excitation spectrum and extract information about the ordering mechanism and collective effects, often indirectly through theory....
متن کاملWave-packet Dynamics in Unconventional RMT Models
We analyze the wave-packet dynamics scenario produced by Random Matrix Theory models with unconventional band-profile structures. Our motivation is to understand the energy spreading of quantum systems with complex dynamics. Examples of such systems include complex nuclei, atoms and molecules, quantum dots, and Bose-Einstein Condensates in optical traps, which, under the influence of an externa...
